International opinions and concerns regarding the discharge of contaminated water from Fukushima, Japan
We would like to learn about international opinions and concerns about Japan’s discharge of contaminated water from Fukushima.On August 23, 2023, Tokyo Electric Power Company mixed 1 ton of contaminated water and 1,200 tons of seawater, placed them in a huge tank, and decided to release the water after confirming that it was below the discharge standard of 1,500 becquerels. Accordingly, we plan to discharge 460 tons of contaminated water every day for 17 days.
